NMI comes together to celebrate God’s work around the world. Join us in June 2027 during the 25th NMI Global Convention as we gather in Jesus’ Name for a time of encouragement, inspiration, and equipping to advocate for global missions in every local church.
All NMI delegates participating in-person in Kansas City should arrive on Thursday, 24 June 2027 for registration. The convention will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, 25 June and will conclude following the quadrennial address on Monday, 28 June 2027.

For many traveling to the United States, the combined cost of global flights along with higher-priced meals can make attending feel financially out of reach. That’s why NDI, NMI, and NYI have partnered together to help.
We’re inviting every church to contribute toward the cost of meals for non-USA/Canada delegates. If each church gives $250, we will have one million dollars! Some won’t be able to give that much. Some can give more.
NMI delegates elected to the 2027 Global NMI Convention are to be based on the NMI membership reported at the district NMI convention when the delegate election takes place. It is expected that every NMI delegate will participate in each session of the convention including the online sessions prior to Kansas City. COE’s must be entered no later than 30 days after your district assembly. Please don’t delay in submitting your COE. The sooner you can submit those the better! The final deadline for all Certificates of Election to be submitted is 1 December 2026
If a district determines they would like to submit a nomination, the following instructions apply. Global NMI council members who are currently serving on the council are not considered for another term unless nominated by a district in their region.
Purpose of Global Council Members (NMI Constitution Article V, Section 3.A.)
The Global NMI Council shall promote the purpose of NMI to mobilize the Church of the Nazarene in missions through 1) praying, 2) giving, 3) education, and 4) engaging children and youth throughout the denomination utilizing the network of regions, fields, districts, and local churches within the denomination.
Qualifications of Global NMI Council Members
Time and ability to travel to meetings. Note: This is a volunteer position. NMI provides transportation and lodging to attend in person meetings, but compensation for time off work is not provided.
Nomination & Election of Global Council members (NMI Constitution Article V, Section 3.C.3)
a) Each district NMI council may submit one or two names to the Global NMI Office from its region as the regional representative for a nominating ballot.
b) From these names on the nominating ballot, each region in caucus at the Global NMI Convention shall choose, by ballot, two nominees. The two with the highest number of votes shall be declared the nominees; however, the two nominees shall not be from the same district. If this happens, the person with the second highest number of votes is replaced by the person with the next highest number of votes from a different district.
c) The region in caucus shall then elect one person by a majority vote to represent the region on the Global Council.
d) Council members shall serve for a four-year term from the close of the General Assembly until the close of the following General Assembly or until their successors are elected.
e) The term of service shall be limited to three consecutive terms. A term shall be one quadrennium (four years). If a person is elected to fill a vacancy of a Global Council member, that person is also eligible to serve three consecutive full terms. A person may be elected to serve again after not serving for at least one full term.
Duties of Global NMI Council Members (NMI Constitution Article V, Section 3.D.4)
a) Cooperates with the Global NMI President, Global NMI Director, and the regional NMI Coordinator in promoting the purpose of NMI.
b) Promotes NMI in the region he or she represents.
c) Submits a report of the NMI work in the region to each Global NMI Council Meeting.
d) Acts on any legislation passed by the General Assembly relevant to regional representation.
e) Performs other duties as described in the job description or as may be assigned by the global president from time to time.

Even before the convention begins, we invite you to participate in Love Your Neighbor 20-27 June, 2027. You can serve alongside Nazarenes from around the world in over 23 ministry projects across Kansas City including construction projects, sports ministry, Vacation Bible School, community outreach, food distribution, and two new church plants.
There are two ways you can participate. First, you can come to Kansas City and serve alongside others from around the world. The second way to participate is right where you are. If your church or district is not able to travel to Kansas City, you can still be part of Love Your Neighbor by organizing a ministry project in your own community.
Our hope is that Love Your Neighbor becomes a global movement of service—with Nazarenes serving in Kansas City and in communities around the world during the same week.

Through engaging discussions, practical tools, and real-world insights, delegates and visitors will be equipped and mobilized into meaningful action—empowered to serve, lead, and influence their communities with intention. More than 25 workshops will highlight powerful stories and create space to learn, connect, and be inspired by what is happening across all world regions. Each workshop will be led by a combination of missionaries, Global Missions staff, and NMI leaders from across the six world regions. These sessions aim to grow a movement of passionate global missions advocates within every local church.
Before delegates gather in Kansas City for our 2027 Global NMI Convention, we will meet online for early caucuses. It is expected that every NMI delegate will participate in each session of the convention including the online sessions prior to Kansas City. Come and help us start our week of conventions and assemblies in Spirit-led unity. Make sure you arrive on Thursday, because we’ll start bright and early on Friday, 25 June 2027.

Join us on 27 February 2027 at 9:00AM (CST) for a time of worship together, pray together, and prepare for the Business of our Early Caucus Meetings.
